Most Affiliate Marketing Guides Are Scams
Unfortunately, most of the affiliate marketing guides out there will not help you make money. In fact, most of them will steer you away from affiliate marketing because they will promise big things and then fail to deliver.
If you read around my website, you’ll notice a trend. I always state that you MUST provide value to others in order to build a sustainable business, online or off. Most affiliate marketing guides out there don’t teach this. They actually teach the opposite. It is very common to see affiliate marketing guides that show you how to use a special system or software program that will do all the work for you. Avoid these like the plague. They do not work and most of those people have never made a legitimate dollar as an affiliate marketer. They make all their money scamming you by selling their crappy system or software program.
Beware Of Fake Income Reports
A very popular tactic for the scam affiliate marketing courses out there is to show you paycheck stubs, PayPal earnings reports, or affiliate dashboards showing 10’s or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in the pipeline. These are EASILY faked. Even the video captures some of these people show are total fakes. It looks real, but they aren’t.
Remember the rule your mother told you a long time ago? “If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.”
Am I saying it’s impossible to earn $1,000,000 in your first year as an affiliate marketer? No. But what I am telling you is whoever tries to tell you they can teach you how to do that is probably lying. There is no “system” and no “software” that will make that happen, especially if that “system” doesn’t require much work. Some affiliate marketers get incredibly lucky just like some people who play the lottery get incredibly lucky. However, don’t plan on millions anytime soon.
The good news is, I can tell you that I personally was able to quit my job within the first year and within’ 2 years was earning 6 figures with my affiliate business. So, “get rich quick” is really in the eye of the beholder.
Keep Moving
If you sign up for an affiliate marketing guide and it “doesn’t work” for you, don’t give up! Affiliate marketing provides an incredible lifestyle and it DOES exist! Each affiliate marketer has his or her own unique way of making money online. What works for me might not work for you. Conversely, a course that hasn’t worked for me might work wonders for you. We are all different, learn in our own unique ways, and the formula for success will be a bit different for us all.
Just because a course “doesn’t work” for you, that doesn’t mean it was a waste of time or that making money online through affiliate marketing isn’t possible. It just means you found a way that doesn’t work for you. Move on! Keep going! The more you go through these courses, the more you’ll learn, and the better you’ll get over time.
Just remember… earning a full-time living online as an affiliate marketer really IS possible. Other people are doing it right now as you read this. Find out what the legitimate affiliate marketers are doing, try to mimic what has already worked for them, and you’ll see success.
