As a full-time affiliate marketer, I can usually sense the question many people including my friends have, but are too uncomfortable to ask. Is affiliate marketing easy money?
Heck yeah it is! 😀
Okay, okay, I’ll clarify. Affiliate marketing, after doing some initial work, leads to residual income. According to Dr. Google, residual income is defined as:
“An income received on a regular basis, with little to no effort required to maintain it.”
That, my friends, is easy money. Every morning when I wake up, I check to see how much money I made overnight. I don’t get paid “per hour” or make a set salary, I make money 24/7/365 whether I’m actually working or not.
So, is affiliate marketing easy money? Absolutely! Is there a catch? Yup!
The real question that should be asked here is…
Is It Hard To Earn Easy Money As An Affiliate Marketer?
Now that’s a much better question, even though it sounds a bit contradictory. We know the money made by affiliate marketers is easy, because it’s residual. But, what does it take to actually start making a full-time income as an affiliate marketer? And, is affiliate marketing the best way to make money from home?
First of all, just because an occupation pays well does not automatically make it hard. I’d much rather be an affiliate marketer than work construction. That’s hard work! I used to be a long-haul trucker. That’s hard work, too, and the pay is lousy. I even found that working in an office as a sales rep was hard work. Affiliate marketing, on the other hand, is FUN for me and I get paid better than any of my other previous jobs.
But here’s the thing. Not everyone in those industries believes their job is hard. Want to know who thinks construction is an easy and enjoyable job? People that love doing construction work!
In other words, affiliate marketing will be very difficult and frustrating to you if you simply don’t like the work involved. On the other hand, if you enjoy the work involved with it, then it will just come naturally and be relatively easy.
How You Will Spend Your Time Creating Affiliate Marketing Easy Money
It’s tough to know if you’d really enjoy affiliate marketing if you don’t know what’s involved. So here is how you will spend your time.
First, you’ll need to learn how to develop a website. Among other things, I teach you how to do this in my free 7 day affiliate marketing e-course. You’ll have your own affiliate marketing business plan, website blueprint, a domain name, and a live WordPress website within 1 week after signing up. With my step-by-step video instructions, this is pretty easy.
Once you have a website up and running, you’ll basically be an author / writer. It is possible outsource content these days, but I’m going to assume you don’t have hundreds or thousands of dollars to spend on high quality custom written content (yet). If that’s the case, you will spend most of your time writing content for your site.
High quality content brings free traffic to your website. This, in turn, brings you free leads, which you can then turn into paying customers for your affiliate partners. There is no better affiliate marketing business model than this. This business model is known as the CTPM Process.
In addition to being a writer, you will also spend time finding images to share on your site, spending time on social media by interacting with your website visitors, moderating comments on your site, answering emails, and checking your phone from bed in the morning to see how much money you made while you slept (seriously, I do this every morning).
Get Rich Quick Is A Scam. Real Affiliate Marketing Is Not.
If you want to become a full-time affiliate marketer, it will take some time. You’re growing a legitimate business! One where you provide value to others (free high quality information that people are searching for), and in return, you will be paid very well (to advertise for your affiliate partners).
It’s a true win-win-win situation.
So, is affiliate marketing easy money? Yes. After a while. Give it 6 to 12 months. I was able to quit my full time job as a truck driver in less than 1 year after learning how to build an e-business through this service. By the time you have put in 6 to 12 months of part-time work and about 100 to 200 pages of high quality content, you will be providing enough value to others to warrant advertisers to pay you.
So, what do you think? Do you have what it takes to be a full-time affiliate marketer? Sign up for my free 7 day affiliate marketing e-course and let’s get started right away!
