Over the years, blogs have changed in terms of what they can do, and today using your blog is one of the best ways to build up the brand identity of your affiliate marketing company and help grow your business in numerous ways. From building a brand to selling products to just staying in contact with clients, customers, and targeted traffic, your blog can do a lot for you.

And out of all the different blog options, WordPress remains the most popular, the most versatile, and the most effective. But in order to stand out, you need to break free of the free WordPress URL and invest in finding the top WordPress hosting companies and using the one that is right for you.

Why is finding a top WordPress hosting company so important? Why not just use the various free or cheap WordPress hosting companies out there? Because doing so helps you to be more professional in several ways. From impoving your site loading time to helping you gain more exposure in search results to site security and automated backups, cheaping out on web hosting is not something I can ever recommend.

With that in mind, I think it’s worth taking a look at some of the top WordPress hosting companies to see which ones are worth thinking about.

Before We Review The Top WordPress Hosting Companies

Before I break down the top WordPress hosting companies, it’s important that you remember that no two companies or blogs are identical. What works for one business or affiliate marketer may not work for everyone else. As such, be sure to pay attention to what it is that you need from your hosting provider and what each of them offers. Doing so will make it easy to find the right company for your needs.

Now, without further ado, let’s look at a handful of the top WordPress hosting companies out there today. While I personally use WPengine for ALL of my WordPress blogs, there are several other options available to you.

GoDaddy

GoDaddy WordPress Hosting

I’ll touch on this one first because it’s probably the most well-known. That name brand recognition just shows that marketing matters in a big way. From their controversial superbowl ads to their controversial ads any other time of the year, everyone has heard of GoDaddy.

However, GoDaddy does have several benefits that help it stand out. It’s cheap, for sure, and one of the lowest prices out there among the top WordPress hosting companies. And it easily integrates products like email and domain name. It is also one of the more secure WordPress hosting services.

But there are numerous drawbacks as well. For starters, let’s talk about freedom. Virtually every website operating – and all of the top WordPress hosting companies – were against the SOPA and PIPA bills that were designed to restrict internet freedom. But GoDaddy was the exception, meaning that they may not have everyone’s best interests at heart.

Additionally, GoDaddy places a major limit on databases and disk space. Others will as well, but not as much as GoDaddy. In short, if you want more than one website, you may need to consider other options.

And that’s just the start of their additional “fees” for things. Most people don’t pay the basic WordPress hosting fee at GoDaddy because there are always unexpected charges and features to pay for.

All in all, GoDaddy is a good choice, but it might not be as great as you think. In the end, it’s backed by a tremendous marketing budget and is a solid option – but actually doesn’t hold up as well to some other top WordPress hosting companies.

BlueHost

BlueHost WordPress Hosting

Bluehost is an option that has gotten a good bit of attention over the last year or two. That’s largely because it’s designed to be fast, easy to use, and is backed by great customer service that is available around the clock. And it has the potential to be even cheaper than GoDaddy, and also offers multiple types of hosting for you to choose from.

However, there are several drawbacks to consider here as well. In particular is a nearly $100 charge for migration, which other top WordPress Hosting companies often do for free. Many users have also said that their websites hosted through BlueHost are slower than other options and the bandwidth / cpu usage allowed is minimal.

Again, while it’s a solid choice that is affordable and easy to use, it might not be the absolute best for everyone.

WPEngine

WP Engine WordPress Hosting

As I stated earlier, WPengine if my favorite WordPress hosting service and I use them for all of my WordPress sites. It offers some of the best customer service out there and is so successful at delivering what it promises that it is used in more than 120 countries around the world.

WPEngine is designed to allow for fast load times and will scale with your business growth, making it a perfect choice for new users who plan on growing their site over time. This is also great for those who are not technically advanced and just want the easiest hosting platform without sacrificing security and site speed.

It also uses innovated technologies that not only optimize your site but also provides high-level security protection, which explains why 5% of the online world visits at least one site hosted by WPEngine every day. Just in case something does happen, they have automated website backups.

Of course, like other top WordPress hosting sites, WPEngine does have a few drawbacks. The biggest one is the price. It’s not quite as cheap as the other options above, and for some, it may not be initially intuitive as they move to the new, more powerful hosting capabilities offered on WPengine’s proprietary platform.

But, in my experience, WPEngine stands out from other top WordPress hosting sites with its power and flexibility, and the extra money is well spent when you consider what you get.

The Bottom Line

As I said above – my favorite of the different top WordPress hosting sites is by far WPEngine. I enjoy being on the cutting edge of technology and having fast customer service when I need it. If you’re just dipping into the online world and aren’t sure what the top WordPress hosting companies even do, trying a less expensive option might be worth it.

But for those who are willing to spend just a dollar or two more each month, the benefits you’ll find from WPEngine make it a good option. The final choice is yours, and you can also change hosts if you need to in the future. Use the info above, find what works for you, and make it work for your business!
