March 10, 2020

I first joined Wealthy Affiliate in June of 2016 mostly to just see what it was all about. I signed up for a free account at Wealthy Affiliate but upgraded to their paid Premium membership the very next day. After 7 months at Wealthy Affiliate, I decided it was finally time to write a Wealthy Affiliate review with my findings on whether this is a good program to sign up with or not.

2020 UPDATE: I have now been with Wealthy Affiliate for over 4 years!! I have updated this review twice now. Last year I wrote an update and this year I’ve done the same thing. You can see my specific 2019 and 2020 updates below.

My intent isn’t to make this Wealthy Affiliate review yet another digital sales pitch. As I searched for Wealthy Affiliate reviews, I noticed the vast majority of them are very one-sided, don’t offer any other options, and are simply biassed sales pitches from affiliate marketers trying to make a buck. So, in MY Wealthy Affiliate review, I’m going to do things a bit differently. Here are some of the topics I’d like to cover…

My Full Disclosure And Honesty Promise To You

The entire reason I created this site is that as an affiliate marketer, I started getting upset with the lack of ethics and misinformation being spread from MANY affiliate marketers, especially as it pertains to the “make money online” niche. So many online marketers out there promise you quick easy money if you just sign up and pay for this or that. Quite frankly, I’m sick of it. Growing an affiliate marketing business is just like starting any other business – it takes time, effort, and a lot of trial and error. I won’t get into it here, but if you’d like you can read my honest article about how long it takes to earn a full-time living with affiliate marketing.

With that said, I want to fully disclose that I am indeed an affiliate for Wealthy Affiliate. If you click on any of my affiliate links, like this one, I get credit in the event you sign up for a paid membership option. Clicking on my affiliate link is actually beneficial for you, too! If you sign up after clicking my link, I get notified and we are able to have private 1-on-1 conversations within’ the Wealthy Affiliate  community. This is a huge added benefit and all you have to do is use my affiliate link before signing up for your free account.

…But doesn’t being an affiliate for Wealthy Affiliate make me just another one of those affiliate marketers who is being biased and just trying to make a buck off of you? Well, ummmm…. Yeah! But at least I’m honest about it, right? I hope you give me a chance by continuing to read this Wealthy Affiliate review. I have no intention of making this one big sales pitch. I just want to provide you with the information and allow you to make your own decision. If I get a commission, great! If not, that’s ok too. Here’s a screenshot of my Wealthy Affiliate profile.

Bottom line, I may admit to being a bit biased about Wealthy Affiliate but I also promise to be 100% honest with you. Wealthy Affiliate is NOT for everyone. I only want those who will truly benefit from it to sign up.

Who I Am

Wealthy Affiliate

If you want the full story, you can check out my about me page (it’s a pretty cool story if I may say so myself). The short version is that I got started with affiliate marketing back in 2009 and was able to go full-time in 2011. I now own more than a dozen websites in several different niche industries. You can see a listing of most of my sites at RogersConcepts.com.

In that time, I’ve gone through just about every affiliate marketer training program on the web. Some of them have been good, some of them not so much. Even the good ones typically seem to get outdated after a few years, so I’ve recommended several different online marketing programs over the years depending on who was best at the time.

For example, when I first started back in 2009, I learned from a service called Solo Build It. I knew absolutely nothing about building an online business, let alone what “affiliate marketing” even meant. However, they changed my life and taught me how to build money-making websites online, which is what I’ve been doing with my life ever since. This is another great service to consider and you can read my review of Solo Build It here.

Another service I used to promote is Affilorama. This is a program that I once used to recommend to people, but I can no longer in good conscious sell that product because I don’t believe you get enough value from it. The Affilorama platform is just too outdated and too expensive for what you get.

In other words, I will not ever attempt to sell YOU anything that I wouldn’t recommend to my closest friends and family.

I’ve actually only been promoting Wealthy Affiliate since about June of 2016 after signing up, and I didn’t even write this initial review until 7 months after joining. It has been updated several times since then.

Call me crazy, but I am one of the few affiliate marketers that feels like it’s only right to promote products and services I truly believe in. That’s precisely the case with Wealthy Affiliate, but I’ll get into more details about WHY I feel this way throughout this review.

How I Found Wealthy Affiliate And Why I Signed Up

As you can see, I tried out a few different online marketer training programs, but eventually, I stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate. I had seen Wealthy Affiliate before in search results and knew they existed, but I never really looked that much into them as I was always satisfied with Solo Build It instead.

So actually, the reason I personally signed up for Wealthy Affiliate is likely much different than the reason YOU want to sign up. Chances are, you want to learn about how to make money online legitimately, learn how to build a website, how to blog, and more importantly, how to earn money from that blog. I wasn’t looking for that. I already knew how to do all that stuff. Instead, I signed up as a way to vet the training, tools, and resources provided by Wealthy Affiliate because I wanted to see if it was something I could promote on this very website you’re reading.

Needless to say, I was blown away pretty quickly. Even by signing up for their free membership option, it was very apparent that Wealthy Affiliate does things differently. The community, recorded training, live ongoing weekly training sessions, live chat and support options, and business-like approach for beginners to pros alike really blew my mind.

So anyway, I had a unique reason for signing up at Wealthy Affiliate. Instead of wanting to learn from Wealthy Affiliate, I wanted to see if it was something worth promoting on this website. Little did I know how much I would learn anyway!

I’ve been promoting Wealthy Affiliate for a few years now and listed below is a typical week of earnings for me. This has been happening week after week for YEARS! This data is valid as of March 10th, 2020. With 21 days still left in the month, I should finish out the month pretty strong, even though this is one of my lower revenue months so far (I’ll explain why later in my 2020 update section).

That’s over $100 per day with every minimal effort at this point. Yes, it took me a long time and a lot of effort to build this site up (almost 1,000 pages of content!), but for the most part, this site is very passive and I only spend a few hours per week on it now. That comes out to around $280 per hour. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that kind of money was ever possible for me. It still blows me away.

Further down this review, you’ll find my updated monthly stats over the past 12 months, and proof that I’ve personally made over $100,000 since joining Wealthy Affiliate. Let’s just say it keeps getting better and better!

What You Get With The FREE Wealthy Affiliate Membership Option

I am a HUGE fan of the “freemium” business model. Wealthy Affiliate follows that model by offering a free membership account. You don’t need to put in any payment information at all to sign up for a free account. The free membership gives you limited access to the Wealthy Affiliate dashboard. Some of your access lasts forever, such as some of the training videos and community features, while other features only last for a limited time, such as the live chat feature. Here is what you get with the free Wealthy Affiliate Membership:

  • Live Help – First 7 Days
  • 2 Websites
  • Website Backup
  • Beginner Training Course
  • Personal Affiliate Blog
  • Affiliate Bootcamp Training – Phase 1 Only
  • Video Walk-Throughs
  • Keyword Research Tool – 30 Searches
  • Training Classrooms – 2
  • Affiliate Program
  • 1-on-1 Coaching – First 7 Days

Can you run a successful business by only using the free membership option at Wealthy Affiliate? Well, you can, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Instead, I recommend you sign up for the free Wealthy Affiliate membership as a way to try things out. Honestly, the free membership is set up to be a bit of a teaser to get you to sign up for premium eventually, but most of us expect that going in. What’s nice about it is you can judge for yourself, based on the free membership, whether it is worth it for you to sign up for premium. Ultimately, only you can decide if Wealthy Affiliate is of high quality or not. You will get more than enough of an idea by signing up for their free membership option. On average, about 1 in every eight people upgrade to a premium membership.

What You Get With The PREMIUM Wealthy Affiliate Membership Option

The premium Wealthy Affiliate membership is where you get access to absolutely everything. If you’re serious about building an online business, I have never in my 10 years in this industry seen such an amazing community full of help, tools, and resources. I’ve been a member at several other online marketing sites, but this one blows the rest of them out of the water.

The biggest issue I’ve had with previous training programs and marketing communities is how outdated they get. With a Wealthy Affiliate Premium membership, you don’t need to worry about that. New training videos are added daily including live weekly video training sessions. You can also search and browse past training sessions they’ve created over the years. With a premium membership, you also get unlimited access to community features which is one of my favorite aspects of Wealthy Affiliate. I spend hours per day simply chatting and messaging people who clicked on my Wealthy Affiliate affiliate link. When they use my link to sign up, I get notified, and the personal one-on-one coaching can begin. No other platform has offered this option before.

Here are some of the things that are included with the Wealthy Affiliate Premium Membership:

  • Live Help – Unlimited
  • Private Messaging – Unlimited
  • 50 Websites
  • Website Security Package
  • Website Backup
  • Beginner Training Course – Full Access
  • Personal Affiliate Blog
  • Affiliate Bootcamp Training – All Phases (7)
  • Live Video Classes
  • Video Walk-Throughs
  • Keyword Research Tool – Unlimited Searches
  • Training Classrooms – 2
  • Affiliate Program – 2x Higher Payout
  • Earn While You Learn
  • 1-on-1 Coaching – Unlimited
  • Private Access to Webinars
  • 24/7/365 Website Support
  • Website Feedback Platform
  • Website Comment Platform
  • Website Analysis

If you add up all the services you get, the premium membership is a steal. For example, you’ll notice they include unlimited keyword research with a membership. Other paid keyword research tools sell for $49 or more just by themselves. Add in website hosting, and there’s another $10 / mo. Add on the website security package, and there’s another $10 per month (I’ve paid as much as $29 / mo just for website security). Just based on those things alone, Wealthy Affiliate is a great deal with all of the resources and tools you need in one convenient place. Not to mention all of the training, tutorials, and support that is included with the membership.

Yes, it costs money, but starting any business takes an investment. The key is to invest wisely, be frugal, and make sure you’re investing in the right things. With Wealthy Affiliate Premium you are literally getting absolutely everything you’ll need to start a successful business online. From the training to the web building tools to the website hosting, backup, security, and support – it’s all there in one place at a very reasonable price. Oh, and did I mention Wealthy Affiliate hasn’t increased their price in 20 years?

Here are some screenshots of my favorite success stories on Wealthy Affiliate, as shared in the member’s blog area.

Here are some additional and RECENT Wealthy Affiliate success stories you can read about:

There are SO MANY success stories on Wealthy Affiliate, these are just some of the ones I found. One thing you’ll notice is that most of these success stories are NOT making money by promoting Wealthy Affiliate. They are promoting an array of other products and services. Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to promote nearly any product or service in nearly any industry. That’s the beauty of it. Wealthy Affiliate does offer a fantastic affiliate program (which I am a part of), but there are so many other things you can promote once you go through the training.

Things I LIKE About Wealthy Affiliate

I realize my bias is already showing through, so I’ll get to what I DON’T like about Wealthy Affiliate in the next section. But, as I’ve already stated, overall I don’t know of any other place that is better for new affiliate marketers to get started than Wealthy Affiliate. If you take a look around my site, you’ll notice I’ve spent a TON of time on it. I’ve spent years of my life building this site, and there are currently almost 500 posts here, all for free, for everyone. It is in my best interest to promote only the best training course and that training course is Wealthy Affiliate.

Want to know a little secret about this site? When I first started this site, I only planned on monetizing by selling my OWN affiliate marketer training course. About halfway through creating my course, I realized that I would never be able to provide the type of quality product I intended. Even if I could, it would become outdated so fast that in just a couple years, I wouldn’t be able to sell it anymore.

One of the reasons I like Wealthy Affiliate is because it enables me to provide this blog for free to people, but also be able to sell a genuinely high-quality product that I know is always updated and provides a better service than I ever could. Plus, when people sign up using my affiliate link, I can still provide one-on-one coaching and support as a way to add value and as a “thank you” for signing up using my link. Wealthy Affiliate truly is a win-win-win setup.

The biggest reason I love recommending Wealthy Affiliate to new affiliate marketers is that it literally provides EVERYTHING you will ever need. You don’t need to buy a domain name in one place then get hosting in another place while you sign up for training at yet another place. Everything you need is in one spot, for one consistent monthly cost. Plus, they don’t just provide the tools, but they give step-by-step training instructions on how to use all the tools properly. If you still don’t understand something, just ask the community or go into live chat, and you could get an answer in literally seconds.

I have never seen any community like Wealthy Affiliate before. It is a truly unique place, and in a very good way.

Things I DON’T LIKE About Wealthy Affiliate

As promised, I also want to talk about the things I do not like about Wealthy Affiliate. By now it should be obvious that I’m very satisfied with the service, but there is always room for improvement, right?

One thing I don’t like is that Wealthy Affiliate mainly focuses on beginner to intermediate training. While this makes sense as the vast majority of Wealthy Affiliate members are brand new to the industry, I would also love to see some more advanced training provided for those of us with a decade of experience in the industry. Sometimes even the pros like to be challenged!

I would also like to see a forum built into the platform. Wealthy Affiliate has a unique way of building a community and I understand why they shy away from a standard forum type of format. Instead, they want to promote live chat sessions, blog posts, private messaging, and public questions where people can comment below. This type of setup is pretty cool at times, but I also do enjoy forums where I can just browse by topic.

Wealthy Affiliate is also very strict on spam, which in the end is a GOOD thing, but I have to be careful sometimes about promoting my sites or referencing them. Sometimes I do have valuable information on my site that I think could help people during live chat sessions or Q&A’s, but I don’t share because I don’t want it to look like I’m spamming. They do allow people to promote their sites in certain areas, but in order to keep the community from filling up with self-promotion spam, there are times when it is best not to share certain information from outside sources, especially my own sites.

And finally, I find that it is almost too easy to communicate with people! I love helping people and meeting new people in the industry, but as a successful affiliate marketer, I do get bombarded with so many questions from people I don’t even know. For that reason, I try to keep my responses prioritized by always responding to those who I referred through my affiliate link. Heck, they helped me earn a few bucks, so why shouldn’t they get priority? While this system works, I do sometimes feel bad at my super late response times for many of those trying to get some help.

Overall, however, I truly do believe that Wealthy Affiliate is the single best place for new affiliate marketers to get started. It’s a wonderful place and by signing up for the free membership first, I think it will become obvious to you.

Who Should Sign Up For Wealthy Affiliate?

The primary purpose of any review, including this review of Wealthy Affiliate, is to help you decide if you should or should not sign up or purchase something. For starters, since you can sign up for a free account at Wealthy Affiliate, I think that is a no-brainer way to go. Don’t take my word or anyone else’s word for it, go see for yourself! There is no credit card required or anything like that. It’s completely free to try.

However, Wealthy Affiliate isn’t for everyone, so let’s first cover who it is FOR and then I’ll cover more specifically who it is NOT for.

Wealthy Affiliate is a great place for those who are brand new to the industry. Sure, experienced marketers may also enjoy the benefits of a Wealthy Affiliate membership, but the service is really created for those who are complete newbies to the industry and need to learn how to build an online business from scratch.

There’s also the fact that Wealthy Affiliate is not and never claims to be a get-rich-quick strategy. You will learn how to build a real, legitimate online business and one that can earn you some serious cash, but just like any other business, it is going to take a lot of time, effort, patience, and support along the way. If you have realistic expectations, are willing to learn from those who have succeeded before you, and you’re willing to put at least 6 months into your business before you see any profits at all, then Wealthy Affiliate is a good place for you.

Wealthy Affiliate is also an excellent place for those who want to have everything they will need in one place. From market research tools to web building tools to domain registration, website hosting, website backups, site security, and much more, it’s all in one place. AND all of those tools come with complete step-by-step training videos as well as a support community that can help you if you’re having trouble. If you don’t want to pay 10 different companies for 10 different services you’ll need to run your business, sign up with Wealthy Affiliate to get it all in one place. Wealthy Affiliate literally provides absolutely everything you’ll need to succeed with your online business.

Who Should NOT Sign Up For Wealthy Affiliate?

While I suggest everyone signs up for the free membership at Wealthy Affiliate to at least see what it’s like, an online business is not for everyone. These are the types of people who should stay away from Wealthy Affiliate.

I’ve noticed that a lot of people who sign up for Wealthy Affiliate are those who are in dire need of financial help. They may have lost a job or may have suffered some other financial setback such as medical issues. The thing is, there’s no reason these people should stay away from Wealthy Affiliate, but many of them have this expectation that they can create a full-time income in a matter of weeks or even a few months. That is NOT the case. Remember, it takes an average business 3 years to profit. Fortunately, it will not take that long with an online business, but it will take considerable time and effort. If you need an income source fast, Wealthy Affiliate is not the place to provide that. Instead, Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to build a real, sustainable online business over a period of time that will also last a long time.

Basically, anyone who is looking to make money fast should stay away from Wealthy Affiliate. There are plenty of “make money fast” e-books and courses out there, and they are all a scam (trust me). While Wealthy Affiliate is legit, they will absolutely never claim that they teach you how to make money fast. Building a legitimate online business takes time.

You also should not join Wealthy Affiliate if you don’t enjoy the community / social aspect of it. A huge part of Wealthy Affiliate is the ability to communicate with other members. It’s a “help and be helped” community. If you have no interest in setting up your profile, asking questions, supporting others, chatting in the live chat sessions, or doing any sort of participation, you will not get the full benefit of the service.

If you don’t like to write, do not sign up for Wealthy Affiliate. The business model that Wealthy Affiliate teaches revolves around producing lots of great content to attract website visitors from search engines. This means, as you build your business, you’ll be writing just about every day, just like I do on this very blog you’re reading. I’ve already written almost 4,000 words in this one post alone, and it’s not even close to being finished yet. Affiliate marketing takes work, and if you are unable or unwilling to write a TON of content, don’t even consider getting into this. Being a writer will end up being your main job.

Finally, if you’re only planning on “dipping your toes in the water” to see what affiliate marketing is all about, do not sign up for the premium membership. The free membership is more than enough for you to see what it’s all about. Premium membership should be reserved for those who are actually serious about building a real business for themselves. If you aren’t in this for the long-haul, there is no reason to waste your money.

Alternative Training Programs To Consider Besides Wealthy Affiliate

Before I get into some alternatives to Wealthy Affiliate, I need to give you one MAJOR warning. The “make money online” niche is full of scammers and people who don’t give a crap about you or taking your money. Be very, very careful with who you give your email, personal info, and credit card information to.

Now that I have that warning out of the way, here are some alternatives you should consider and compare against Wealthy Affiliate:

Solo Build It As I stated earlier in this Wealthy Affiliate review, I initially learned how to start my own business with this service. Solo Build It is somewhat similar to Wealthy Affiliate as far as the training is concerned, but Solo Build It but I believe the training at Solo Build It is far superior. My favorite part about Solo Build It, however, is that they offer absolutely EVERYTHING you’ll ever need to grow your business online including domain registration, an intuitive site builder, research tools, hosting, and all the other tools you need are in one place with training on how to put it all together. You can learn a lot more about them by going through their video tour.

Affilorama While I promoted Affilorama in the past, I no longer do for many reasons. It has simply become too outdated. Affilorama also lacks in some of the training. Instead, they focus on helping you get started quickly by designing a site for you and seeding it with content. Some of the optional training courses they sell are quite expensive and compares to an entire annual membership at Wealthy Affiliate, so that’s why I no longer promote them. Again, they are worth checking out, but I think Wealthy Affiliate is a much better buy.

Udemy.com Udemy is an online training platform where “instructors” can create courses and sell them to “students”. There are some extremely high-quality courses on Udemy created by high-quality instructors who really have made a lot of money online, but there are a lot of very low-quality courses as well. Most of the higher quality courses are quite expensive, sometimes exceeding $100. While the training might be good, the training on Wealthy Affiliate is excellent as well, plus you get all the tools, community, and support included as well. Once again, I believe Wealthy Affiliate is the better option.

Warrior Forum WSO’s – This is the only option on the list I will actually tell you to stay away from. Warrior Forum WSO’s are almost always a rip-off and no amount of them will adequately teach you how to truly build a real online business. This forum community is owned by Freelancer.com and they will allow just about anyone to sell just about anything. The majority of them are very cheap, but once you give them your email address, get ready to be spammed. They also almost always include “upsells” where the initial product may only cost a few bucks, but all the other products they sell you within the first product costs substantially more. I could write all day about why you should never purchase a Warrior Forum WSO, but if you want to learn more, you can read my article about Warrior Forum WSO’s here.

Free Training Across The Web – Believe it or not, most of the training I’ve received over the years are sources I’ve found for free all over the web. I’ve shared a LOT of that info with you on this very website through my nearly 500 blog posts (to date). However, you should also check out sources such as YouTube. It’s true, places such as YouTube are filled with scammers and spammers, but mixed within those are some gems. For example, you can look up keynote speeches on affiliate marketing from various conferences, such as Affiliate Summit speakers. Using free content from around the web is hard to sort out and make sense of, so it’s best to use a service like Wealthy Affiliate because you are able to learn the things you need to learn, in the order you need to learn them, without all the distractions. However, as you progress, you may need to learn something specific, at which point you can go to free sources across the web to learn as you need it.

For the most part, there really aren’t any other high-quality affiliate marketer training programs available today. The first couple I listed are really the only other services I would even consider over Wealthy Affiliate, but in the end, Wealthy Affiliate is in a league of its own.

How To Receive Private Coaching From Me PERSONALLY Within’ Wealthy Affiliate

When I say that I love Wealthy Affiliate, I’m not just saying that because I’m an affiliate for them. I’m a very active premium member at Wealthy Affiliate and love interacting with people on a daily basis. If you join, you’ll see me posting on people’s profiles, answering questions, chatting in the live chat area, and I have private personal messaging conversations multiple times per day.

But here’s the kicker… If you sign up using my affiliate link for Wealthy Affiliate, I will be notified and I will send you a welcome message. From that point on, you can contact me absolutely any time and I will help coach you through the process. If you ever feel overwhelmed or have questions you can’t find the answers to, I’m just a quick message away. I’m not only happy to return the favor for you clicking on my affiliate link, but this business is my passion, and I absolutely love watching people’s businesses grow. So, if you are looking for one more reason to join Wealthy Affiliate, use any of my Wealthy Affiliate links before you sign up and you’ll get free coaching from me personally.

2019 Wealthy Affiliate Review Update!

As we are now in 2020, feel free to skip down to the next section where I share my 2020 update. However, I still wanted to provide the update I made last year so you can track my progress.

I like to update this review as the years go on. Wealthy Affiliate has never been better than it is right now in 2019. Last year was absolutely AMAZING for me in terms of Wealthy Affiliate sales and commissions. Check out the below screenshot of my Wealthy Affiliate earnings over the past 12 months. You can click the image for a larger view.

2019 Wealthy Affiliate Commissions

That’s right, I’ve earned nearly $40,000 over the past 12 months, and since it is currently only halfway through February, I very well might get to that $40k mark (2020 update – I made over $55k in 2019!).

And I’m not the only one. More people than ever are succeeding with Wealthy Affiliate. Most people who join don’t even promote Wealthy Affiliate at all. Instead, Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to promote any number of products or services across the web in just about any niche. If you do want to promote Wealthy Affiliate, by all means, it’s a great affiliate program that can easily earn you a full-time living! Here’s the last paycheck I received from Wealthy Affiliate. The amount is actually higher than what is posted in the chart above due to some yearly subscriptions and a few other things that I got paid extra for.

Wealthy Affiliate Commission

Not a bad payday, right?!? Here’s a chart showing how things grew for me over the past year. I’ll get this chart updated since February isn’t over yet, but you can see how there is a general uptrend over time. Instead of going after get-rich-quick schemes, play the long game and build a LEGIT business that lasts.

I Made It To The 2019 Wealthy Affiliate Super Affiliate Conference In Las Vegas!

If you do decide to promote Wealthy Affiliate, there are additional perks. For example, anyone who sells 299 subscriptions from January to December gets invited to the Wealthy Affiliate Super Affiliate Conference. There is no way to get into this conference unless you make 299 sales. Absolutely everything is paid for from the flight to the hotel room to entertainment and AMAZING food. Here’s a quick video I made showing some of the highlights.

Long story short, it was absolutely amazing. I was treated like a king while I was there and am still blown away by the experience. I’m really hoping I make it again next year and so far it’s looking good!

2019 Wealthy Affiliate Conference Crew

Here are some additional pictures from the conference. This first picture is from the Wynn Hotel. Kyle and Carson, the owners of Wealthy Affiliate, rented out an incredible 2 story suite for us to party in. They had top shelf drinks, entertainment, mouth-watering food, and we were simply treated like ballers. Networking and making connections with these other successful affiliate marketers was invaluable.

Kyle and Carson also had a suite at the MGM Grand Hotel. We spent a lot of time there having roundtable discussions, partying, and just having a blast. We got some cool Wealthy Affiliate swag and even a couple hundred bucks to go gamble with!

2019 Wealthy Affiliate Vegas Conference

Each evening, we’d get together for food, drinks, networking, and entertainment in the MGM Grand suite. They even brought in a very talented and very funny magician. Some of the tricks he pulled were stunning.

2019 Wealthy Affiliate Vegas Trip

I simply can’t wait to go back next year. As long as I make 299 sales in 2019 I’ll be there to have this great experience again!

I created a full post and review of my trip to the 2019 conference here.

2020 Wealthy Affiliate Review Update!

Every year I’m with Wealthy Affiliate, things just get better and 2020 is no exception. In fact, I reached an enormous milestone in 2020. I have officially made more than $100,000 by promoting Wealthy Affiliate!

Total Wealthy Affiliate Revenue 2020

When I first started affiliate marketing back in 2009, I was just hoping to make $1,000 per month as a supplemental income. I never in a million years thought I’d make this much with just one affiliate program. I belong to about a dozen other affiliate programs on top of this. It’s just unbelievable!

Here is the latest paycheck I received from Wealthy Affiliate

Wealthy Affiliate Payment 2020

I’ve already made over $8,000 in just the first two months of 2020. Last year (2019) was the best year I ever had with Wealthy Affiliate. Over the past 12 months, I’ve earned over $55,000 just with Wealthy Affiliate alone.

Wealthy Affiliate Stats 2020

I went into a lot of detail last year so I won’t get into as much detail this year, but I did make the Wealthy Affiliate Super Affiliate Conference again. Anyone who makes 299 sales in the calendar year gets to attend. I absolutely crushed it and made about twice as many sales as I needed to attend. The parties, the food, the entertainment – it was all as good as it was last year.

Things I Need To Work On In 2020

Over the past few years, this website has mostly just run itself. I’ve been focused on other websites and this one has really been neglected. Over the past 18 months or so, I’ve spent maybe a few hours per week on this site, if that. The good news is I have basically been making hundreds of dollars per hour from this site since I haven’t been working on it much. The bad news is, well, I’ll just show you…

Wealthy Affiliate Detailed Stats 2020

As you can see, I’m in a bit of a downward trend. Pay attention to the red line on that chart. The red line shows how many people are clicking through to Wealthy Affiliate using my affiliate link. As you can see, I’m in worse shape now than I was last year. It’s my fault for neglecting this site. It isn’t the fault of Wealthy Affiliate, I’m losing traffic from Google search results because my content is getting outdated. Just check out how closely my traffic loss matches the loss in clicks to Wealthy Affiliate:

So, what do I need to focus on? Well, the answer is obvious. I need to update this site with fresh, modern, and up-to-date content. I’ve been lucky to sit back over the last 18 months or so, but Google is starting to notice my content getting old.

This is why it’s important to know that affiliate marketing CAN be a passive business, but it’s not ever going to be 100% passive. Even if you hire freelance writers or others to work on your site for you, there will always be tasks that you’ll need to complete yourself.

My goal for 2020 is to update or write at least 2 to 3 pages per week until I am able to bring traffic and referral levels above my peak in 2019.

If you’ve been putting off joining Wealthy Affiliate, now is the absolute best time to join the community.
