Is Wealthy Affiliate worth it? Well, that all depends.
You’re probably only on this page because you searched in Google (or some other search engine) to find out if Wealthy Affiliate is REALLY worth signing up for.
I’m not sure if this is the first site you found after doing your search, but have you noticed something weird about the search results? Just about every result you see starts off looking like an independent review of Wealthy Affiliate, and then inevitably turns into a sales pitch trying to get you to sign up.
Want to know why that is?
Anyone who becomes a member of Wealthy Affiliate is automatically enrolled into their affiliate marketing program. That means, those results you see when trying to get information about Wealthy Affiliate are actually biased. If you click on their links to Wealthy Affiliate, and you end up signing up, that person receives a commission.
Now you know why these seemingly “unbiased” reviews of Wealthy Affiliate seem like biased sales pitches. It’s because they ARE biased!
No, Wealthy Affiliate Is Not A Scam
If all of this makes it seem like Wealthy Affiliate is a scam, well, you’re not exactly wrong, but there’s more to the story. I wrote a full article about the Wealthy Affiliate scam, but I’ll give you the short version here.
Basically, Wealthy Affiliate is really good at what they do. They teach members how to rank highly in search engines, and so basically all of their affiliate marketers will outrank anyone else, especially for search results related to Wealthy Affiliate.
So it’s not really a scam. The search results being so biased is a direct result of Wealthy Affilite teaching people how to rank well in search engines.

Yup, that’s right. Just like pretty much any other result you’ll find when researching Wealthy Affiliate, I am also an affiliate marketer for them. Why Wealthy Affiliate Is NOT Worth It For Most People
Wealthy Affiliate is NOT worth it for the vast majority of people thinking about signing up. The reason is because most people sign up for Wealthy Affiliate with wrong expectations, and don’t understand what it really is.
Wealthy Affiliate is not some get-rich-quick thing. You may not like what I’m about to tell you here, but it’s the truth. Wealthy Affiliate teaches long-term strategies. After signing up for Wealthy Affiliate, it will take you many months, if not a year or longer to earn any money online through affiliate marketing.
That’s exactly the reason why Wealthy Affiliate is legit, though. Wealthy Affiliate will teach you how to build an online BUSINESS. Building a real, legitimate business simply takes time. There’s no way around that. So, unless you plan on treating affiliate marketing like the business that it is, Wealthy Affiliate is likely not worth it for you as you’ll never succeed with it.
Why It Takes So Long To Earn Money With Wealthy Affiliate
Unlike most make-money-online “training courses”, Wealthy Affiliate doesn’t teach you some “secret system” or “method” or any of that garbage. Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to build a real business. It really is the real deal. While that is a good thing on the surface, building a legitimate business takes a ton of time and effort.
The good news is that anyone can start an affiliate marketing business. When I first started, I was a truck driver working 70hrs or more per week. I was only able to work sometimes 30 minutes per day on my business, but I could do it part-time and I didn’t need to invest my life savings. It took me about 1 year to quit my job as a truck driver. These days? I enjoy a cool 6-figures salary and live the affiliate marketing lifestyle to the fullest.
The reason it takes so long to earn money with Wealthy Affiliate is because there is a lot to learn, and building up a truly great website takes time. There really is just no way around it. You can believe the get-rich-quick guru’s all you want, but if you’re truly serious about making money online, you have to leave all that multi-level marketing crap and “make money fast” stuff behind.
If you have the patience to learn what you need to learn and build your business from the ground up, then yes, Wealthy Affiliate is worth it. Sadly, most people researching Wealthy Affiliate are only looking for a quick and easy way to make money. If that’s you, skip past Wealthy Affiliate. It doesn’t work like that.

Now you know that Wealthy Affiliate is not some way to make money fast online. Wealthy Affiliate is only worth it if you’re willing to put in the time and effort needed to grow a legitimate business.

So logically, the next step is to actually build your site! This is so intimidating for new affiliate marketers, but actually building your website is one of the easier parts. In the end, we’re all doing this for the money, and Wealthy Affiliate will show you how to find and set up all of these affiliate partnerships so you can start getting checks each month.
Ongoing Training: Truth be told, when you’re a business owner, the learning NEVER stops. It always seems like there is more to learn, and there is! The internet is always changing you will never know everything you need to know about affiliate marketing. Wealthy Affiliate provides ongoing live training sessions, and those live training sessions are always added to the training HQ section of the dashboard. However, for those that are willing to start a real online business and put in the time and effort, yes, Wealthy Affiliate is worth it. Wealthy Affiliate will walk you through every step, provide every tool you need, and give you access to an amazing community of other affiliate marketers trying to build a business just like you.
Wealthy Affiliate is especially worth it for those who want to start a business part-time without risking a large amount of financial capital. I started my affiliate marketing business on a very part-time basis, but within’ 12 months I was able to quit my truck driving job and focus on my own online affiliate marketing business full-time. Since 2011, I haven’t looked back.
If you have been wanting to start an affiliate marketing business, and you realize that this is going to take some time and effort, then Wealthy Affiliate is absolutely worth it. I don’t know of any other place that teaches affiliate marketing as well as Wealthy Affiliate. That’s why I’m a member myself!
