Why You Aren't Successful At Affiliate MarketingThe internet is filled with “guru’s” and “experts” telling you how easy it is to be successful at affiliate marketing. Unfortunately, most of these people are just trying to sell you stuff. Instead of being totally honest with you, they make promises they are never able to keep.

Maybe you are starting to figure this out… the hard way? Maybe you’ve spent $100’s if not thousands of dollars on affiliate marketer training programs teaching you how to be successful at affiliate marketing? Maybe you’ve done everything these “guru’s” tell you to do and you buy everything they tell you to buy, and yet, you STILL haven’t been successful at affiliate marketing?

I know the feeling and it isn’t good. It makes you feel like giving up. Don’t! It took Thomas Edison 10,000 attempts at creating the lightbulb. Want to know what he said?

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10000 ways that won’t work.”

By the end of this article, you’ll know what it’s going to take to earn a full-time living with affiliate marketing.

#5 – You Might Be Using The Hail Mary Approach

One of the biggest errors new affiliate marketers make is using the hail Mary approach. There’s a good chance you are using this approach bud don’t even realize it and unfortunately, it’s a lousy way to become successful at affiliate marketing. Basically, the hail Mary approach is when you find a training program, method, or system that promises to earn you big bucks. So, you go for the hail Mary. You try the system for a few months and when it doesn’t work, you end up being deflated and give up.

Now, I want to stress something very important here. There is nothing wrong with trying a hail Mary approach. A lot of people have become successful at affiliate marketing using this approach. But you have to use this play in its proper pace. This shouldn’t be your main business model. Going from one hail Mary to the next WILL eventually lead to success, because even though each individual hail Mary will likely be a “failure”, you will learn something new along the way each time. The more you know about different online marketing techniques, the higher chance you will succeed.

Unfortunately, most newbies are too focused on this approach instead of going for a well thought out and LONG TERM approach to becoming successful at affiliate marketing. That means, establishing a business plan, monetization plan, doing market research, and putting in months of hard work before ever expecting a dime in return. You know, like a REAL business!

That’s what I learned in the training course I used to learn how to start an online business, so if you’re sick of the get rich quit hype, this course will be a breath of fresh air.

#4 – You Might Be Too Impatient

This is really sad, because I see it all the time. Many affiliate marketers quit right before they are about to be successful at affiliate marketing. Here’s an all too common scenario…

Someone is interested enough to learn about affiliate marketing, so they sign up for this awesome training program. They have a business plan through market research, a website blueprint, a WordPress website live for the world to see, and a monetization plan they know will work because I’m able to show how to properly plan ahead. After my e-course, it’s go-time – Time to grow that business.

And most people do! For the next couple of weeks, new blog owners tend to write articles almost every day, but then it happens…

Every day turns into 4 times per week. That turns into two articles per week. And eventually, there’s nothing being added at all. Sometimes people are able to put in a few months before this happens, but all too often, blogs and sites become deserted. And right before success was about to hit.

If you can put in 10hrs per week, in about 6 months, you should start to be successful at affiliate marketing. After about one year, you will probably be able to quit your job. That’s the exact time-frame that worked for me and I knew nothing about affiliate marketing when I first started.

If you want to be successful at affiliate marketing, you need to have patience. I’m not here to tell you that you’ll be a millionaire next week. There are plenty of other people making that promise if you would rather trust them. This is business and there’s a lot you have to learn. Don’t expect to be making money from this until you make a lot of mistakes along the way. Use those mistakes to propel you further towards ultimate success.

#3 – You Might Not Really Believe It’s Possible To Be Successful At Affiliate Marketing

Do you REALLY believe there are people out there who are successful at affiliate marketing?? If you don’t really believe it’s possible to earn an amazing living online, you’ll never make it. You must know, without a shadow of a doubt, that it IS possible… And that it’s possible for YOU to achieve this.

First of all, affiliate marketing is a multi-billion dollar per year industry. There’s a TON of money being made by both affiliates and companies running the affiliate programs. I’m one of those people. I went from being a truck driver to running my own successful affiliate marketing business online in less than one year and there’s nothing special about me.

From work at home moms to computer programmers and even truck drivers like me – people from all walks of life become successful at affiliate marketing. Yes, this is a REAL industry with REAL people. There’s no reason you can’t be successful at affiliate marketing, too.

#2 – You Might Not Be Serious Enough About This

Exactly how serious are you about growing a legitimate online business? How badly do you want to be able to work from wherever you want, when you want, as long and as hard as you want? How badly do you want to get paid 24/7/365 whether you’re actually working or not? How badly do you want to be able to work side-by-side with your pets, kids, spouse or simply from the comfort of your own home? How hard would you work to achieve that? Really… do you have a passion to be successful at affiliate marketing?

….Or are you just “dipping your toes in the water” to see if you can make a quick buck?

Listen, affiliate marketing is a BUSINESS. I hammer this point all the time. When people start an offline business, such as a restaurant, there is no “dipping your toes in the water” to see what it’s like. People who start offline businesses must take great risks. They have to quit their jobs, invest their savings, and bust their butt full-time on the business just in the hopes of turning a profit in the first 4 or 5 years. And still, the majority of new businesses fail.

Being successful at affiliate marketing is no different. Someone who is “just dipping their toes in the water” with an online business will almost always fail. It takes serious commitment to be successful at affiliate marketing. Sure, you can start your business with almost no financial risk at all and you don’t have to quit your current job to give it a shot, but without approaching this as a legitimate business, you’ll never succeed.

#1 – You Might Not Be Educating Yourself Properly

There are no college course on how to be successful at affiliate marketing. There’s no official training program and there isn’t anyone hiring and training people for the position of “affiliate marketer” in any corporation. Everyone who has been successful at affiliate marketer out there has been self taught.

The problem is, when you’re new, you don’t know what you really need to know. Sure, these “guru’s” and “experts” talk a big game about their income and success, but you want to know something? Most of them are lying to you. They just want to sell their own products and services, or yes, even affiliate products and services. They do this by promising the world to you.

Sure, the training courses they sell you might be very educational. You’ll probably learn something very valuable. However, don’t buy into their claims of success.

The ONLY way to grow a legit business online is the same way you have to grow a legit business offline… By doing all the boring stuff nobody ever wants to do. You know… forming a business plan, doing market research, running tests to determine profitability, setting up financial reports, etc. That is the only way to be successful at affiliate marketing.

Well, if you’re willing to do this boring stuff, put in about 6 to 12 months of work, and understand that you’re building a residual income machine along the way, sign up for this amazing training program and do it right this time!
